About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the long-term destination of Design in the age of AI at Capital One
- Equip Designers across Capital One with AI tools and training
- Partner directly with Senior Executives across Product, Engineering, and Design landscape
- Build a roadmap balancing strategic vision with immediate milestones
- Establish a definitive future vision for AI integration and drive adoption across the organization
- Drive transformative efficiency by scaling AI-driven design processes and tooling
- Leverage established expertise and leadership in product design
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 8 years of experience in a product design role
- 10+ years of experience in a product design role preferred
- Has experience in a design toolkit that spans product design, service design, and content design
- Expertise with AI assistants tools like Claude or Gemini
- Experience leading high-impact, highly complex projects from strategy through delivery to market
- Experience partnering with product managers, engineers, marketing, and analytics leaders
- Proficiency with web and mobile technologies and platforms
- Expertise with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship building across complex organizations
- Exceptional people management and development skills
