About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a thought partner to business clients, providing proactive, business-minded legal advice
Identify and assess legal risks associated with our lending and deposit products, ensuring we balance innovation with compliance
Work with the Business Risk Office, Compliance, and other Legal stakeholders to develop creative solutions and resolve issues
Master the full landscape of relevant laws and apply them to novel problem solving for new technology and data

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
At least 4 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm environment, at a government agency, as a military judge advocate, or as in-house counsel
3+ years of experience with consumer finance laws and regulations (preferred)
3+ years of experience in the financial services industry (preferred)
Experience in advising small businesses or commercial clients, or a combination (preferred)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others (preferred)
