Key responsibilities & impact

Lead our formal adherence monitoring program across all lines of businesses and Capital One risk categories
Play a key role in contributing to the effective design, delivery, and sustainability of our risk management framework
Collaborate with our stakeholder community to mature our risk management practices
Leverage data and analytics to manage risk and proactively identify and report on risks and trends
Actively support internal and external audits and exams
Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the applicability and impacts to Capital One
Lead a team of professionals to advise and consult key partners to drive effective risk identification, assessment, and disposition
Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
Foster an environment of trust, collaboration & belonging while leading a team of risk managers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 4 years of Financial Services experience
At least 6 years of Risk Management experience
At least 2 years of People Management experience
Masters Degree (preferred)
7+ years of Financial Services risk management experience (preferred)
7+ years of experience in Project or Process Management (preferred)
5+ years of internal strategy or management consulting experience leading cross functional financial services projects and programs (preferred)
5+ years of people management experience (preferred)
