About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engage with a team of risk managers, product owners and business leads in delivering flawlessly executed event and issue management
Analyze the underlying breakdown and identify the right solution for multiple concurrent open items
Collaborate with leaders to improve Capital One’s risk profile while putting the customer first
Educate and gain buy-in from stakeholders concerning process health and performance
Provide project management for Issue and Event management execution
Partner with Legal and Compliance to understand exposure from breakdowns
Guide root cause analysis and influence sustainable containment plans
Coordinate, influence, and negotiate priorities with partner dependencies
Streamline interactions with the business regarding breakdown enhancements and process improvements
Support research and problem-solving as needed
Train and develop teammates and others as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
At least 2 years of Operations, Financial Services Compliance or Risk Management experience
At least 2 years of experience in Process Management or Project Management
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience (preferred)
1+ years of Risk Event management or Issue Management experience (preferred)
1+ years of analytical experience (preferred)
3+ years of experience in management of multiple projects concurrently in an autonomous environment (preferred)
3+ years of risk methodologies and corporate risk practices experience (preferred)
3+ years of operations management or risk management experience (preferred)
Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification (preferred)
