About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the implementation and oversight of data management practices to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices
Oversee programs to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of Card’s most important data
Proactively learn and master the nuances of the various tools used to support the data management ecosystem to drive automation, efficiency, and better risk oversight
Apply intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills to solve complex data management challenges and identify opportunities for process transformation and automation initiatives
Partner with Accountable Executives (AEs), Performing Data Stewards (PDSs), and tech teams to ensure data-driven initiatives align with the broader risk and well-managed agenda
Proactively synthesize data and reporting to provide actionable business insights to senior leadership regarding the health and compliance of the data ecosystem

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management, Data Management, or Financial Services
At least 4 years of people leadership, team lead, or mentoring experience
At least 4 years of experience supporting and interacting with internal business clients
Master’s Degree (Preferred)
6+ years of experience leading cross-functional risk or data programs (Preferred)
4+ years of experience with data management tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, or enterprise data cataloging tools) (Preferred)
Professional certification such as CISA, CDMP, or PMP (Preferred)
3+ years of experience in agile methodologies or design thinking (Preferred)
