About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Partner Experiences in the Global Payment Network
- Co-create innovative solutions to complex problems and influence product strategy
- Apply interaction, visual, and service design expertise with cross-functional partners
- Select and use appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems
- Create artifacts including journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
- Lead design projects, direct and delegate work for junior team members, and mentor designers
- Mature the overall product design practice at Capital One
- Navigate partner and stakeholder needs using data, research insights, scalability, and technology constraints
- Apply customer, competitor, and market insights to business challenges
- Use knowledge of technology, data capabilities, and emerging technologies to inform solutions
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and drive product strategy
- Present work to senior stakeholders to influence strategic decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in a Product Design role
- At least 5 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, process, results, and impact
- Experience with and contribution to an established design system
- Experience collaborating with product, technology, and business partners
- Experience leading design projects or teams
- Experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces
- Must not require new employment authorization sponsorship from Capital One
