About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms
- Drive architectural alignment, technical strategy, and execution of organizational objectives and key results
- Improve scalability and system resilience within the global payment network engineering lifecycle
- Own complex technical dependencies and cross-functional engineering roadmaps
- Deliver robust global financial infrastructure
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Simplify technically complex issues and drive informed decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science
- Secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to achieve business impact
- Help expand the technical program management discipline by teaching the organization what effective TPM practices can achieve
- Collaborate across functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in technical program management
- Strong technical background, ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services
- Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills
- Quantitative approach to problem solving and systems thinking
- Ability to simplify technically complex topics and drive decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science
- Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results
- Ability to collaborate across functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or military experience
- Preferred: 5+ years designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- Preferred: 3+ years building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing architecture, preferably AWS
- Preferred: 3+ years building highly scalable mobile products and platforms
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery
- Preferred: 3+ years delivering large and complex programs
- Preferred: Experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field
