About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop business strategies driving growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One
- Manage and develop 1–2 analysts; coach and mentor associates
- Develop and implement product and pricing strategies for lending products
- Lead product-level modeling and analytics
- Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for retail-channel products
- Build targeted insights for new customer experiences, technology, concepts, and go-to-market strategies
- Improve credit performance by analyzing consumer credit trends and historical behavior
- Create risk models and test hypotheses through rigorous monitoring and analysis
- Manage and sequence delivery of business intent and build business requirements
- Execute product strategy and oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
- Partner with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other Capital One teams to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or a Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration, with the required degree obtained by the scheduled start date
- Quantitative field may include Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience in analysis preferred
- 2+ years of experience in financial services preferred
- 1+ year of experience in consulting preferred
- 2+ years of experience in people management preferred
- Strong quantitative and analytical orientation
- Strong business judgment, leadership, integrity, and decision-making skills
- Ability to build and leverage high-performing teams and business partnerships
- Strong executive written, oral, influencing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Track record of achieving short- and long-term goals in uncertain and fluid environments
- Successful experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environments
