About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and quantify risks associated with models with cross-functional data scientists, software engineers, and product managers
- Use Python, Conda, AWS, Spark, and other technologies to analyze large volumes of numeric and textual data
- Build machine learning models to challenge production champion models
- Contribute to the model governance framework for next-generation machine learning models
- Present the business impact of model risks to executives
- Validate models across multiple business domains within Enterprise Services
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods
- Retrieve, combine, and analyze data from diverse sources and structures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a required degree by the scheduled start date
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 5 years of experience performing data analytics, or Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with a quantitative concentration plus 3 years of experience performing data analytics, or PhD in a quantitative field
- Quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Preferred: Master's Degree in a STEM field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD in a STEM field
- At least 1 year of experience working with AWS
- At least 3 years' experience in Python, Scala, or R
- At least 3 years' experience with machine learning
- At least 3 years' experience with SQL
- Hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms
- Experience with model building, validation, and backtesting
- Knowledge of confusion matrices and ROC curves
- Experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning
- Ability to retrieve, combine, and analyze data from varied sources and structures
