About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Enterprise Supplier Management Project Management Office within Capital One
  • Build and oversee project management structure and governance for Enterprise Supplier Management
  • Define and implement methodologies, processes, and tools to standardize project delivery and enhance visibility
  • Identify and sequence multi-year strategic objectives and roadmap for the project portfolio
  • Lead and support a team of approximately 10–20 Associates
  • Own executive-level communications, roadmaps, and reporting
  • Provide strategic oversight and hands-on assistance for scoping, feasibility assessment, and foundational program definition
  • Facilitate tradeoff and prioritization discussions with the Executive Leadership Team
  • Direct workflow solution design and implementation
  • Drive continuous improvement using data, technology, industry best practices, and Agile methodologies
  • Partner with project customers, legal/compliance, technology leads, and business operations
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget while managing risk
  • Maintain understanding of AI principles, project-management applications, and industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 9 years of project, program, or process management experience
  • At least 5 years of People Management experience
  • At least 3 years of Financial Services experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree
  • Preferred: 10+ years of project, program, or process management experience
  • Preferred: 5+ years leading complex strategic initiatives or transformations focused on establishing governance or operationalizing project frameworks
  • Preferred: 3+ years in Enterprise Supplier Management, supply chain, or procurement
  • Experience with change management methodologies or leading organizational transformations
  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
  • Preferred: 6+ years of People Management experience
