About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development, maturation, and continuous enhancement of Regulatory Consumer Center of Excellence compliance programs
- Provide oversight through governance, controls, monitoring, and risk escalation processes
- Report program results to senior management and stakeholders
- Develop, execute, and monitor work plans for program buildout and audit-ready frameworks
- Collaborate with risk teams and partner groups to develop efficient engagement routines
- Balance competing priorities and adapt quickly to new information or circumstances
- Manage and develop a team of subject matter experts
- Provide thought leadership, training, and tools to first- and second-line teams
- Define and drive the strategic vision for compliance programs
- Lead teams through change and champion innovation
- Drive process improvement projects
- Foster compliance risk management and balanced risk-taking
- Guide the business on corrective action plans
- Monitor regulatory and business changes and assess impacts on lines of business
- Leverage technology, data analytics, and automation to maintain efficient compliance programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience building or leading programs within a consumer financial services institution, or leading a regulatory compliance, legal, or audit function
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- Expertise in consumer protection laws, such as FCRA and SCRA
- Juris Doctor or other Master’s Degree preferred
- 8+ years of people management experience preferred
- 8+ years of program management experience leading cross-functional programs in compliance and risk preferred
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP) preferred
