About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and shape Card Technology’s strategic agenda with Card’s Divisional CIO
- Identify major opportunities and address challenging technology and business imperatives
- Lead collaborative problem solving with senior stakeholders across technology, product, and the card business
- Develop business strategies driving growth, profitability, and competitive success
- Develop and implement product and pricing strategies for lending products
- Lead product-level data modeling and analytics
- Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute product strategy
- Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
- Work with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other colleagues to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability
- Potentially own a business segment and hold P&L accountability
- Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for products across channels
- Build targeted insights for customer experiences, technology, and go-to-market strategies
- Improve credit performance through consumer credit trend analysis, risk models, hypothesis testing, monitoring, and rigorous analysis
- Coordinate across lines of business
- Manage and develop analysts; coach and mentor associates
- Foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and deliver results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
- At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
- At least 1 year of experience performing people management
- At least 1 year of experience performing project management
- Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering preferred
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in people management
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in product development
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial modeling
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in economic forecasting
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in project management
- Strong foundation in corporate strategy or top-tier management consulting
- Experience developing visionary strategies
- Passion for technology
- Prior experience in technology and/or digital topics preferred
- Proven track record of analytics-based decision making and problem solving
- Strong quantitative orientation
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity
- Solid people leadership experience
- Strong executive communication and strategic influencing skills
- Track record of thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
