About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the full acquisition lifecycle on behalf of the federal agency’s Office of Acquisition Services, including pre-award planning; solicitation development; proposal and quote evaluation; and post-award contract administration.
  • Conduct and document market research and support acquisition planning for assigned requirements.
  • Draft and edit solicitation documents, including RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and Combined Synopsis/Solicitations.
  • Support technical and past performance evaluations, assist with scoring, negotiation objectives, and award documentation.
  • Process contract modifications and support post-award administration, including option exercises and de-obligations.
  • Maintain complete, accurate procurement files and submit them within required agency timeframes.
  • Prepare status reports and support recurring meetings with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated federal contracting experience across the full acquisition lifecycle, from solicitation development through contract administration.
  • Current or previous Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) certification, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), or civilian equivalent (e.g., National Contract Management Agency (NCMA)).
  • Extensive working knowledge of the FAR.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the government suitability determination required for agency access.
  • Prior experience with the Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) contract writing system (preferred).
  • Prior experience supporting CDC, HHS, or other federal public health agency acquisitions (preferred).
