About the role

  • Owning localisation as a core product/programme cross functionally.
  • Establishing and streamlining E2E processes that produce best global and local impact efficiently at scale, including Continuous Localisation, Audio-Visual Translation.
  • Building connectivity between repositories for a global content ecosystem, including CMS, CRM, codebase, design system, Jira.
  • Leveraging language technology to improve localisation quality and efficiency.
  • Improving localisation service branch and implementing best practices of throughout all touchpoints of process and project management.
  • Supporting and guiding the delivery of localisation service.
  • Fostering collaboration, communication, transparency and trust across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Domain Expertise:
  • - Proven record of success and experience of localisation best practices and processes across various disciplines, particularly Continuous Localisation and Audio-Visual Translation, as Localisation Programme Owner or similar role.
  • - Deep understanding of various language technologies and systems, including TMS, NMT/LLM, API/connectivity, Jira.
  • Market Understanding:
  • - Solid knowledge about localisation market, including players/brands, top voices, hot topics.
  • - Up to date with latest language technology development, trends, features.
  • Business acumen:
  • - Understanding about different teams/functions responsibilities and purposes, including product, tech, marketing, finance, procurement.
  • - Influencing the right stakeholders effectively with localisation perspective.
  • - Seeking and maximising mutual and collective benefits.
  • Client/customer oriented:
  • - Knowing and addressing client/customer painpoints.
  • - Turning client/customer data and insights into action and solution.
  • Working with people:
  • - Fostering collaboration and push boundaries based on mutual understanding cross functionally and cross culturally.
  • - Handling difficult situations and de-escalating conflicts.
  • Preferred experience and qualifications:
  • - Speaking Arabic/German/Italian/Spanish, with high English proficiency
  • - Having worked in a fast moving tech or fintech company
