About the role

  • Establish a framework for API/Service-based development by creating and maintaining a technical playbook for client developers based on API, Event-Driven, and Service architecture(s).
  • Mulesoft ESB / Anypoint MQ; plan, develop, and implement public cloud EHR to legacy on-premises/private cloud near real-time integrations; train client developers.
  • Creating Medical and Other Data Exchange Software Interfaces; expose medical and other legacy data via REST and other APIs; train client developers.
  • Application Privacy and Security: implement privacy/security best practices; verify via audit trail; protect PII/PHI/CJI as applicable.
  • NoSQL Unstructured Data Platforms (Cassandra, Hadoop, MongoDB): design, implement; train client developers and DBAs.
  • Continuous Integration / Delivery / Deployment (CI/CD) DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab; train client staff on CI/CD from an application development perspective.
  • Knowledge Transfer: prepare documents/artifacts for client staff; materials; training; hands-on sessions; peer reviews; advisory support.
  • Develop and submit a Final Report detailing contract activities, budget, lessons learned, and suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, at least three (3) years of electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming experience must have been in a lead capacity.
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT- related or Engineering field. A copy of the degree must be provided upon request. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must possess an achieved Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer I certification* or MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) certification.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on, operational experience with healthcare or medical and other Data inter-application exchange via any combination from the below list: FHIR, HL7 v3 Messages, HL7 v2 Messages, JSON, XML / XSLT.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of one (1) year of hands-on, operational experience in public cloud based EHR integration with legacy, on-premises or private cloud applications.
  • Must be able to provide a minimum of two (2) end client references (manager/supervisor level) from previous engagements performed within the last ten (10) years, providing services that are similar in nature and scope, and type of service.
  • Desirable Experience: API creation; Data Lake/Data Lakehouse/Data Mart/Data Warehouse; Data privacy (PII/PHI/CJI); NoSQL (Cassandra/Hadoop/MongoDB); CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab).
