About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Capgemini’s pursuit of large-scale public sector transformation opportunities in New Zealand
  • Own and execute senior-level sales campaigns for complex transformation opportunities across major NZ public sector accounts
  • Build trusted relationships with Chief Executives, Deputy Chief Executives, CIOs, CDOs, CFOs, CPOs, programme executives and senior commercial leaders
  • Lead early positioning, account strategy, stakeholder mapping, win themes, qualification, competitive analysis, partner strategy, commercial strategy and bid mobilisation
  • Navigate formal and informal decision networks, build stakeholder consensus and develop transformation propositions
  • Mobilise Capgemini’s local, regional and global capabilities, alliance partners and executive sponsors around priority pursuits
  • Build and maintain a qualified, forecastable pipeline with pursuit plans, deal governance, risk management and commercial discipline
  • Strengthen Capgemini’s profile as a trusted transformation partner in New Zealand
  • Bring informed perspectives on public sector reform, ERP modernisation, digital government, sovereign capability, AI, cloud, cyber and delivery excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive senior sales, client partner, account director or business development leadership experience in professional services, technology, consulting or systems integration
  • Strong track record in large public sector transformation pursuits
  • Demonstrated success selling at CxO and executive level across public sector clients
  • Ability to develop trusted advisory relationships and influence strategic buying decisions before formal procurement
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales campaigns involving long sales cycles, competitive positioning, formal RFP processes, governance, commercial negotiation and executive sponsorship
  • Evidence of winning or materially shaping major transformation opportunities
  • Strong public sector credibility and understanding of government decision-making, procurement processes, probity expectations, budget cycles, risk appetite and public value outcomes
  • Ability to mobilise and align internal teams in a matrixed organisation
  • Executive presence, commercial judgement and resilience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full working rights for Australia and New Zealand
  • Wellington based, with preference for established credibility and networks across New Zealand public sector agencies and national-scale transformation programmes
