About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test and/or deploy system functionality
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and training to Agile Dev team members
  • Provide technical feasibility using multiple coding methods and adhere to coding standards
  • Ensure systems are architecturally sound, maintain high code and component quality, and support future requirements
  • Ensure end products meet business acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements
  • Define and execute tests early, often and at multiple levels
  • Interpret customer needs into viable solutions and lead system design
  • Break down features and write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Execute Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
  • Perform impact assessments across people, processes and technology
  • Support implementation activities, troubleshoot user and system environmental issues, and provide training
  • Support Lean Business cases and break epics into features
  • Identify and raise functional design issues and risks and offer alternative solutions
  • Work with the Product Owner to align code and acceptance tests with desired functionality
  • Code instructions for computer programs, objects and components across multiple applications and configure packaged software
  • Review and validate team members' application technical designs
  • Design and architect business applications and mentor lower-level colleagues
  • Conduct system studies and analyze computerized and manual processes for efficiency improvements
  • Research and develop automation techniques
  • Document and implement programs according to installation standards
  • Analyze and recommend backup, security, restart/recovery, balancing and controls approaches
  • Analyze and document data conversion and data modeling requirements
  • Quality-check program code, related objects and documentation
  • Deliver working code each sprint
  • Develop, execute and maintain test cases and test data
  • Identify complex application testing errors, troubleshoot results and perform root cause analysis
  • Report test plan execution status through defect logs and tracking systems
  • Conduct audits of test planning and execution against standards and guidelines
  • Define advanced test plans for appropriate coverage
  • Write test cases describing business behavior to facilitate automation and train others
  • Contribute to the overall test strategy
  • Develop and document application quality and testing standards, best practices and measurement techniques
  • Mentor junior team members in test planning and execution tools and techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • SAFe Practitioner or SAFe Agilist Certification required within 180 days of hire
  • SAFe DevOps Certification required within 180 days of hire
