About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Standards & Programs: You develop company-wide EHS standards and programs (e.g., “Life Saving Rules”) and ensure their implementation. This guarantees a consistently high level of safety across all sites and allows you to share best practices throughout the organization.
  • Advisory & Coaching: In a matrix organization, you advise executive management, plant managers and local EHS managers on all matters of occupational safety. Through targeted coaching you foster awareness of safety as a core value and support change processes in the safety culture—going beyond mere regulatory compliance.
  • Training & Cultural Change: You design and facilitate trainings and workshops (using a train-the-trainer approach) to raise awareness and engage both leaders and employees in safe behaviours. In doing so, you drive change and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Interface Management: In this role you act as a competent point of contact across different hierarchical levels. You collaborate closely with the international EHS team and help ensure that occupational safety is firmly embedded and practiced throughout the organization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Passion for Safety: You have a genuine interest in developing safe working cultures and enjoy empowering and engaging people in occupational safety.
  • Experience in Manufacturing: Several years of professional experience in occupational health & safety—ideally within a manufacturing environment—enable you to help shape pragmatic, on-site solutions.
  • Professional Qualifications: A completed technical or safety-related training and relevant practical experience are required; a university degree is not mandatory but is an advantage.
  • Communication Skills: You demonstrate strong communication and facilitation skills. You can present confidently at all levels, convey knowledge clearly and motivate others to achieve shared goals.
  • Languages & Travel: Very good English skills enable collaboration within the international group. Willingness to travel up to 30% within Europe completes your profile.

Benefits

Comp & perks
  • Scope to Make an Impact: A responsible role with significant autonomy where you can make a visible difference and actively shape cultural change within an international company.
  • Flexible Working: After onboarding, you can work remotely up to 3 days per week and organise your working hours flexibly.
  • Attractive Benefits: A competitive compensation package including a company car (also available for private use) and additional benefits such as bike leasing, a company pension scheme and group accident insurance.
  • Development & Wellbeing: Extensive training and development opportunities and an on-site fitness area are available to you.
