About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct ongoing market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor emerging programs, solicitations, and customer priorities.
- Perform competitive analysis to inform opportunity qualification.
- Build capture plans aligned to growth targets.
- Develop win themes and strategic messaging for proposals.
- Own and write responses to government and commercial RFIs, RFQs, RFPs.
- Coordinate with technical subject matter experts.
- Support development and implementation of pricing strategy.
- Serve as a connective link between growth/BD and other stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of experience in business development, capture management, proposal writing, or a related role supporting government or defense contracting.
- Current active US Secret clearance.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and the full capture/proposal lifecycle (market research through award).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to turn complex technical or programmatic information into clear, persuasive content under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working across a wide range of stakeholders (engineering, program management, finance, legal, security) in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits with overlapping timelines.
- Self-starter who can find information and make progress without extensive guidance.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
