About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical and engineering support including, but not limited to, the following:
- Develop technical requirements for capital improvement projects and procurements
- Develop and review Technical Requirement Documents
- Provide mechanical design, systems, and/or operations experience
- Make recommendations for best technical COAs(Course of Action)
- Provide procurement support including, but not limited to, the following:
- Develop and review mechanical specifications for systems or designs
- Develop and review Statements of Objectives (SOO), Statements of Work (SOW), and other procurement specific documentation.
- Review and Evaluate Procurement Packages for technical soundness
- Develop technical evaluation criteria for proposal evaluation
- Assist in technical evaluation of vendor proposals
- Perform market research and assist in development of Independent Government Estimates
- Provide technical support for the Systems Engineering Process
- Provide technical expertise in design reviews and the design process in general
- Consolidate and communicate technical information for project team
- Assist in development of project plans, schedules, and estimates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Education: Scientist and Engineer 3-BS in Science or Engineering Field OR substitution as described below
- Scientist and Engineer 4-MS OR substitution as described below
- Subject Mater Expert-exceptional/highly-unique expertise, recognized industry leader in a given area of expertise
- Minimum Experience: Scientist and Engineer 3- 3-10 years of experience
- Scientist and Engineer 4- 10+ years of experience
- Subject Matter Expert -exceptional/highly-unique expertise, recognized industry leader in a given area of expertise
- Substitutions: A Bachelor’s degree can be substituted for with 6 years of relevant experience OR an Associates degree and 4 years of relevant experience. And Master’s can be substituted for with 12 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s and 8 years of relevant experience.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance required for job. May begin work with an interim clearance.
- Other Essential Job Functions: Highly Organized
- Basic Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office(Word and Excel) experience
- 5-10% travel may be required
