About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process bi-weekly Payroll
- Process weekly Accounts Payable
- Process daily cash receipts
- Support accounts receivable, account reconciliations, data entry, filing, and bank deposits
- Provide timely and accurate reports and information as directed by the Finance Manager or Director of Finance
- Document work and maintain records, files, and data
- Respond to inquiries, help problem solve, and communicate with internal and external employees, customers, vendors, and stakeholders
- Provide support to accountants on various projects
- Use Excel and finance software including Sage 100, ADP Workforce Now, and Enterprise E-Time
- Complete work accurately and on time while meeting job-specific and regulatory deadlines
- Attend meetings, training, agency activities, and events outside regular work hours upon request
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma/GED required
- Two years of payroll and/or accounts payable experience preferred
- Customer Service focus with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism
- High proficiency in Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively work in a team, helping to accomplish team goals
- If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT-SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required
- Maintain compliance with required training
