About the role
- work with the Country Localisation Lead to create Canva’s voice in German
- translate key content and manage localisation partners
- develop/update style guide and glossary
- review and evaluate translations
- provide cultural insights and guidance
- identify opportunities for localisation improvements
- review vendor translations
- assess and source new LSPs
- answer linguistic questions
- triage scripted testing results
Requirements
- linguistic and cultural knowledge
- natural at writing clear, fun, and engaging content
- understanding of how languages and cultures impact user experience
- entrepreneurial spirit
- copy-writing experience (preferred)
- experience in localisation for a SaaS product (preferred)
- knowledge of CAT tools (preferred)
- understanding of organic growth (preferred)
- design experience or familiarity with design tools (preferred)
- tertiary education in linguistics, literature, or localisation (preferred)
