About the role

  • Design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Lead cloud security best practices, including IAM, network security, encryption, and compliance controls
  • Own database operations and performance optimization for AWS services such as DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and related data stores
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and application deployments
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
  • Establish and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for production systems
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of operational processes
  • Review and influence architectural decisions with a focus on security, resiliency, and operational excellence
  • Mentor engineers on DevOps, security, and operational best practices

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
  • Deep hands-on experience operating production systems on AWS
  • Strong expertise in cloud security, including IAM, VPC design, network security, and encryption
  • Strong experience with database operations and performance tuning, including DynamoDB and OpenSearch
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform)
  • Strong understanding of high-availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery patterns
  • Experience supporting microservices or distributed systems in production
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
