About the role
- Seeks out opportunities to improve current processes
- Ensures that NZ Post people are paid correctly, on time and in accordance with the appropriate employment agreement, legislation & company policy
- Ensures that quality EIS and financial information is available for use by the business by providing accurate, up to date information as requested in a timely manner
- Maintains the confidentiality and security of all payroll documentation
- Providing training and support to team members to ensure best practice delivery of services
Requirements
- Payroll practitioner experience using HRIS (HR/Payroll) applications
- Worked in a team environment in an open plan office
- In-depth knowledge of Employee Information System processes and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of Employment Agreements and relevant Legislative Acts: ERA Holidays Act Wages Protection Act Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act Privacy Act
- Understanding of the impact of payroll and links to the financials systems
- Knowledge of HR practices and systems
- Proven competence in MS applications: excel, word, power point
- Significant understanding and demonstrated application of technology.
