About the role

  • Seeks out opportunities to improve current processes
  • Ensures that NZ Post people are paid correctly, on time and in accordance with the appropriate employment agreement, legislation & company policy
  • Ensures that quality EIS and financial information is available for use by the business by providing accurate, up to date information as requested in a timely manner
  • Maintains the confidentiality and security of all payroll documentation
  • Providing training and support to team members to ensure best practice delivery of services

Requirements

  • Payroll practitioner experience using HRIS (HR/Payroll) applications
  • Worked in a team environment in an open plan office
  • In-depth knowledge of Employee Information System processes and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of Employment Agreements and relevant Legislative Acts: ERA Holidays Act Wages Protection Act Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act Privacy Act
  • Understanding of the impact of payroll and links to the financials systems
  • Knowledge of HR practices and systems
  • Proven competence in MS applications: excel, word, power point
  • Significant understanding and demonstrated application of technology.
