About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Backlog Management: Own, prioritize and refine the product backlog for multiple teams, ensuring items are clearly defined, detailed, and ordered to maximize business value.
- Detailed Story Writing: Write exceptionally clear, concise, and detailed epic specs user stories and acceptance criteria for complex features, leaving no ambiguity for the development teams.
- Technical Alignment: Work closely with technical leads and architects to understand technical constraints, resource requirements, and prioritization of features against technical debt.
- Acceptance and Quality: Be the sole decision maker for accepting or rejecting product level enhancements, holding the team accountable for meeting the definition of done and high-quality standard before any release.
- Agile Team Facilitation: Partner with engineers to define clear, achievable goals and lead all key ceremonies to maintain team focus, momentum, and alignment.
- Monitor key metrics and work with team to continuously identify and remove execution impediments and bottlenecks.
- Product Partnership: Work closely with Product Managers to understand strategy and bring enhancements to life from the ground up.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6-10 years of dedicated experience as a Product Owner in a fast-paced, high-execution environment, specifically managing complex software products.
- Master-level understanding and practical application of Agile/Scrum principles; proven ability to drive a team's day-to-day execution effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail in writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria; a demonstrated obsession with quality and clear documentation.
- Strong background or foundational knowledge in software development processes, system integrations, and data flows to effectively guide technical decision-making.
- Proven ability to communicate technical details and complex trade-offs clearly and precisely to engineering teams.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification is highly preferred.
