Medical Director
Cano HealthDistrict Medical Director overseeing medical activities and providing physician leadership for Cano Health. Leading educational initiatives and quality improvement projects within the assigned district.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead educational initiatives to improve provider performance, quality of care, and adherence to standard of care practices.
- Conduct monthly discussions with PCPs identified as having clinical management opportunities.
- Conduct monthly meetings to review physician scorecards and KPIs related to ED/admissions, referral management, and patient satisfaction surveys.
- Work with the Territory Medical Director to develop and implement quality improvement projects.
- Oversee and provide leadership to a group of providers within the district.
- Foster a supportive environment for clinical excellence, professional growth, and patient-centered care.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing actionable feedback and recognition of achievements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a Medical Degree from a Accredited Medical School or DO School.
- Board Certification in Family or Internal Medicine.
- Fluent Spanish and English due to staff and patient demographics
- Experience in Medicare Advantage Risk and Value Based Care Management.
- Experience leading and successfully managing providers.
