Retail Area Manager
Canna Cabana. Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for our Retail Stores Team in a designated region .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for our Retail Stores Team in a designated region
- Ensure communication, understanding, and belief in the company's goals and mission statement
- Coach all employees to work towards a common company objective
- Responsible for company monthly and weekly revenue and profit projections
- Oversee Store Managers and ensure daily and weekly staff schedules are aligned with revenue
- Review monthly sales objectives and develop strategies to achieve targets
- Provide leadership and support for all direct reports
- Develop a positive collaborative working relationship with staff and partners
- Identify operational and merchandising deficiencies in all stores and provide solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years Multi-Unit store management experience in the retail industry, cannabis retail industry preferred
- SellSafe and Selling It Right certification to work in Alberta and BC mandatory
- A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
- Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software, and the use of the Internet
- Well-spoken and possess the ability to speak clearly and confidently in all business settings
- Excellent Business Math skills
- Ability to read, understand and calculate math calculations such as discounts, interest rates, percentages, etc.
- Ability to delegate, set expectations and monitor the progress of all direct reports
- Ability to motivate, inspire, provide, and accept feedback to and from employees
- Prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets
