About the role
- Manage our Marketing and Sales team (3 staff) and outside resources
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients in target markets, and develop relationships with them to secure new business
- Create and maintain a customer database
- Reporting on group sales activities, pipeline, and forecasting
- Achieve sales targets, at expected profit margins, by converting leads into sales
- Work with Marketing and Sales resources to organize collateral including data sheets, brochures, and marketing merchandise
- Conducting client demonstrations and presentations of our products and services, both remote and in person
- Organizing, writing, and reviewing Proposals, Quotes and Submittals
- Working with other Group Managers on client retention and key account initiatives
- Conducting internal sales training programs
Requirements
- Background/experience in solution sales, preferably within the mining or civil engineering industries
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expected profit margins
- Excellent communication and sales presentation skills and techniques, and competent in using presentation tools such as PowerPoint
- Electronic product and/or software sales
- Management experience
- Relevant Degree or Postgraduate qualifications
