About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Install, configure and virtualize server hardware
Install/configure operating systems, software, network settings
Write deployment scripts and manifests to deploy hardware and platforms consistently
Develop and implement new solutions based on new customer requirements
Pro-actively monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT services
Tune-up OS and deploy software updates and patches and modify deployment scripts and manifests to ensure configuration complies with security requirements
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
Respond to system outages and perform necessary repairs
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Provide technical support and training to users
Implement and maintain backup solutions, including RDBMS replication, recovery and system failover
Develop and test disaster recovery plans
Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
Ensure network security and manage VPNs
Monitor and enforce security policies
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory
Work with other CBN and customer IT staff and departments to support various projects and initiatives
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their IT needs
Ensure compliance with CBN and customer IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
Legally eligible to work in USA
Able to work outside of standard business hours as required
Able to travel approx. 2-4 weeks/year on average
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent combination of relevant education and years of work experience
Any CISSP, LPIC, ITIL, VCP, MCSE, OCA/OCP 12c certifications are assets, but not required
Knowledge of Active Directory
Knowledge of Virtualization
Basic IT Security principles and protocols (TLS, encryption at rest)
ITIL processes
IT auditing process (asset)
5+ years of system administration experience
