About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for elevating clinical practice standards across CAN Community Health by overseeing onboarding, conducting skills training, and communicating updates in workflows and processes
- Works with local clinic leadership and departmental leadership to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning
- Serves as a subject matter expert to clinical staff across CAN sites on clinical workflows, processes, procedures, and skills as per scope of practice
- Communicates updates to the above effectively to impacted clinical staff
- Monitors and supports adherence to clinical procedures, skills performance, and documentation quality; escalates concerns to leadership as needed
- Supports local clinic leadership to provide coverage when needed
- Collaborates with department leadership to develop and refine onboarding programs, identify training opportunities and needs, and improve skills
- Facilitates new employee onboarding for clinical staff, ensuring readiness in core clinical tasks and CAN-specific procedures
- Coordinates competency validations, refresher training, and training events aligned with changes in state/federal guidelines or internal processes
- Helps create and maintain training records, competency records, onboarding retention audits, reference guides, and policy summaries to support clinical excellence
- Analyzes feedback, audits, and clinical data to identify training gaps or workflow inefficiencies; develops interventions and implements solutions
- Contributes to the development and deployment of clinical initiatives and special projects (e.g., rapid testing expansion, LAI pilots, EHR documentation tools)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant or licensed Nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) from accredited program required
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience required
- CPR certification required
- Experience in staff onboarding, mentoring, or training strongly preferred
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required
