About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide first-class customer service to prospects and residents
- Clean vacated units to prepare them for lease and move-in
- Keep property grounds clean by picking up trash
- Ensure the property is clean, maintained, and safe across offices, common areas, stairwells, basements, grounds, and exteriors
- Identify and address potential liability situations
- Assess property physical conditions and recommend curb-appeal improvements with Manager approval
- Complete work orders promptly, professionally, and courteously, including thorough clean-up
- Maintain organized and safe maintenance shops and storage areas
- Ensure exterior lighting is functional and adequate for community safety and oversee inspections
- Set project deadlines and update the Manager on progress
- Follow applicable codes, legal requirements, OSHA standards, and compliance statutes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience managing building systems in student housing
- At least 1 year experience with building automation systems and life safety systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Creative, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Passion for mentoring and team building
- Personal drive to excel, grow within the company, and take ownership
- Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in enhancing operations, resident satisfaction, and property performance
