Maintenance Assistant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide first-class customer service to prospects and residents
- Responsible for cleaning all vacated units to prepare them for lease and move-in
- Assist in keeping the property grounds clean by picking up trash
- Ensure the property is clean, maintained, and safe for residents, prospects, employees, and visitors at all times
- Identify and address potential situations that could cause liability to the property or management company
- Assess the physical condition of properties and recommend improvements to enhance curb appeal
- Complete all work orders timely, professionally, and courteously
- Maintain an organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas at all times
- Ensure all exterior lighting is functional and adequate for community safety
- Follow all applicable codes, legal requirements, OSHA standards, and compliance statutes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience managing building systems in student housing
- At least 1 year experience with building automation systems and life safety systems
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Entrepreneurial mindset — creative, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo to better serve residents and the company
