Area Sales Manager - On-Trade
Campari GroupSales representative for Campari brands in Pays Basque region. Focused on developing sales in horeca and independent outlets with a robust client strategy.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop sales (volume, sales/revenue, distribution coverage) of Campari France portfolio brands with HoReCa clients, independent wine merchants, distributors and cash & carry wholesalers, while complying with prescriber channel procedures and commercial policy.
- Build and maintain a sustainable customer base of HoReCa accounts and independent wine retailers through targeted action plans and promotional programs.
- Develop local business with distributors and cash & carry wholesalers, in line with national agreements negotiated by National Accounts Management.
- Ensure implementation of the Resale Action Plan (PAR) and guarantee the proper use and optimization of resources and investments at customer locations.
- Conduct regular, structured customer visits and report activities via entries in the Phoenix CRM system.
- Maintain and update the customer database, ensuring all clients are correctly recorded and documented.
- Ensure brand visibility using generic POS materials (PLV) or specific tools (e.g., window displays).
- Organize accompaniment tours with wholesalers’ sales teams to support promotional plans and listed brands.
- Monitor competitors and provide regular feedback to your line manager.
- Respect delegated commercial and marketing budgets and expense allowances entrusted to you.
- Actively and constructively participate in all commercial meetings and training sessions organized by the Regional Director.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in the beverage industry and with the prescriber channel (on-trade/HoReCa).
- Curiosity and empathy.
- Strong product knowledge.
- Sales methods and techniques.
- Ability to work autonomously while respecting an established framework.
- Rigor and attention to detail.
