About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in site surveys and gather site-specific data for design and installation efforts
  • Support design of electronic security system and subsystem solutions from concept through final product
  • Generate material lists for design efforts
  • Participate in periodic design reviews
  • Perform PITCO activities in the engineering facility
  • Use manufacturer literature and technical support during solution development
  • Apply controlled documentation, government standards, application guides, and industry best practices
  • Assist with scope definition, specifications, and budgetary write-ups for proposal capture personnel
  • Perform physical installation activities in unusual locations, including outdoor and elevated work
  • Install, repair, and service electronic equipment including computers, radar, missile control, avionics, and communications systems
  • Report to the Systems Engineer Lead
  • Support U.S. government missions involving electronic security systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • 8 years of hands-on experience
  • Current and active DoD Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Proficiency with computers and other role-related technologies, tools, and systems
  • Strong working knowledge and/or certification with electronic security manufacturers such as Lenel, AMAG, DMP, Software House, FLIR, Hirsch, MDI, Bosch, Pelco, Genetec, HID, and Axis
  • Working knowledge and/or certification with operating systems commonly used for ACS, IDS, and CCTV systems
  • Experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic security system components and supporting hardware
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous workloads and adapt, plan, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to read and interpret project ICD drawings and electrical schematics
  • Active passport for OCONUS travel
  • Up to 70% CONUS and OCONUS travel, including possible overnight stays
  • Preferred: hands-on experience deploying and testing physical security systems
  • Preferred: 8+ years’ experience in security systems installation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical work including lifting, carrying, climbing, and working at elevated heights
  • Ability to work in secure, industrial, hazardous, outdoor, and varying-weather environments
  • Compliance with applicable medical, vaccination, and travel requirements for certain assignments
  • Successful background investigation required; alcohol and drug screening may be required
