About the role

  • Play a critical role in supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division.
  • Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and/or Server Basics.
  • IP addresses, DNS, and how network issues affect virtual desktops.
  • Use log files, event history, and version control to trace issues.
  • Equipment installation including superb cable management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
  • Must have the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual, as applicable. (i.e. CompTIA A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CISSP, and GSEC)
  • Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Available to Travel up to 60 days per year / several week-long trips.
  • Must have an active passport to support OCONUS travel and/or living requirements.
