About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- support the growth and success of the business by leading the delivery of large projects
- Leading and developing our consulting teams
- proactively driving business development
- partnering with our clients to ensure we deliver high-quality services that enable their strategic decision-making
- Leading on and successfully delivering client projects, ensuring they are delivered to plan and provide value for clients
- Thinking strategically and critically to solve complex problems across a range of proposition and therapeutic areas
- Delivering a range of project types with varying levels of complexity, and the planning, design and facilitation of workshops
- Facilitating the growth of existing accounts by regularly maintaining engagement with existing client leads and identifying opportunities to expand the scope of projects
- Often leading the acquisition of new clients through actively pursuing new client leads
- Leading proposals and pitches to convert these into new wins
- Managing and developing consulting colleagues through effective communication and feedback
- Promoting Solici to enhance our strategic decision making and competitive positioning through writing blog articles and attending key events
- Contributing and supporting internal improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency, delivery rate, and profitability of projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- advanced [Masters or PhD] degree with experience in one or all of the following; Oncology, Immunology, Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic diseases [CVRM], Rare diseases
- A proven record or demonstrable ability to lead profitable projects that deliver value for clients
- The ability to engage with existing and prospective clients, to understand their needs and win new business by recognizing commercial opportunities
- Strong track record of leading new business pitches and winning work
- Be able to lead and develop others to deliver high quality outputs and utilise industry expertise
- Acquire significant knowledge to develop impactful and commercially relevant solutions for clients
- Be able to balance your scientific background with strong commercial astuteness to achieve revenue and profitability targets
- High levels of emotional intelligence, to develop effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- A growth mindset, to thrive in a complex and ever-changing environment
- skilled in leading your team through change programmes
