About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and facilitate effective and engaging professional learning services to customers
- Manage K-5 reading intervention implementation in South Florida
- Work directly with the district’s curriculum team in developing and supporting a comprehensive implementation plan
- Act as an instructional coach/specialist at the school level
- Promote the fidelity of implementation, facilitate professional learning services, and support teachers and students
- Deliver in-person and virtual professional learning, customer support and planning meetings
- Develop and/or update training assets for virtual and in-person professional learning
- Review survey data and apply feedback toward professional growth and training refinement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in education required
- Master’s degree preferred
- At least 5 years teaching experience in K-12 education
- At least 3 years of delivering professional learning sessions or coaching and consulting with teachers in applying best practices in classrooms with various populations of learners
- Direct experience with VSL programs as a trainer, district leader, instructional coach, or classroom teacher
- Effective presentation skills for in-person and virtual settings utilizing a variety of collaboration and engagements strategies with adult learners
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills (communication, problem solving, collaboration, and sensibility to build rapport with customers and co-workers)
- Proficiency using technology-based productivity tools including Microsoft Office, Google and other web applications
- Ability to travel via various modes of transportation. This can include evenings, occasional weekends, and driving after dark
