About the role
- Use state item specifications to write effective items for different projects
- Independently conduct preliminary and content reviews
- Lead educator content review meetings, rubric validation meetings, range finding meetings, data review meetings, and standard setting meetings
- Write blueprints and translate them into item pool development plans
- Lead math item pool development for a project
- Independently communicate with state clients
- May serve as a Math Content Lead for a project or a Team Lead for an internal team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field + 5-8 years’ experience in math assessment or math education-related fields or a Master’s degree + 3-6 years’ experience in math assessment or math education-related fields
- Strong knowledge and experience with the U.S. Education and Education Assessment
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Skilled at collaboration
- Required travel for this position ranges from 1 week to 6 weeks per year for 2-6 days at a time
