About the role

  • Develop passages and/or create new test questions (items) for various client-specific projects
  • Work in interdisciplinary teams to craft test items and performance tasks to measure what students have learned
  • Find stimulus material for test use, obtaining copyright permission as needed
  • Craft and review the items, using state-of-the-art tools to create interactive items, simulations, and other tasks
  • Participate in group item reviews
  • Record team feedback on test items at one-on-one meetings and group review sessions
  • Assist with the assembly of field test and operational test forms
  • Contribute to the creation of materials for interpretive guides, score reports, and item release websites
  • Help senior staff in managing test item pools and developing new assessments, products, and services
  • Assist with the creation of test specifications

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in English or related field is required
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated imagination, analysis skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions
  • Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with others
  • Required travel for this position ranges from 1 week to 6 weeks per year.
