About the role

  • Apply Cambio’s best-in-class ML models to generate energy conservation measures at hyper-scale for our real-estate customers.
  • Work closely with commercial real estate owners to understand their needs and develop their path to net zero across their portfolios.
  • Assist in delivering retrofit projects which comply with local, state, and federal regulations and help improve Cambio’s automated regulatory analytics.
  • Monitor the performance of retrofitted buildings and analyze pre- and post-retrofit energy outcomes, cost savings, and carbon impact.
  • Collaborate with the Data Science team to expand and refine physics-based building science models and integrate building science datasets to improve model recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and help implement retrofit projects that significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for building decarbonization and provide insights and feedback to product and engineering teams to continuously improve the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng or P.E.) designation strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on retrofit projects and energy efficiency.
  • Experience signing & sealing projects as engineer of record (EOR) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in building systems analysis and construction implementation, including systems design, site evaluation, energy modeling, and cost estimation.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data from various sources and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Proven experience in managing retrofit projects from conception to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to energy efficiency and decarbonization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Enthusiastically works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and customer success.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or Canada is required.
  • Being located in or near San Francisco, New York and Toronto is highly preferred.
