About the role
- Serve as a player/coach who balances hands-on technical contributions with team development—building proof-of-concepts and production solutions that advance modernization goals.
- Consults with Engineering and Business partners, ensuring the solutions are pragmatic, secure, scalable and aligned with Cambia’s goals.
- Role model the creation and utilization of Responsible agentic solutions and AI-accelerated workflows, including AI-assisted coding tools to improve engineering velocity and quality.
- Leads through action in requirement analysis, system design, data modeling, secure code development, code quality, test automation, and documentation.
- Mentors and educates others to help build stronger team practices and stronger engineering communities.
- Provides technical leadership throughout organization consistent with the best industry practices.
- Defines, challenges, and refines Cambia's broader organizational processes to innovate new capabilities and increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in a multi-platform environment, including, but not limited to application development or database development.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect preferred.
- Strong fundamentals with microservices, serverless architecture, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Strong programming skills in multiple languages such as Golang, Python, JavaScript, C# and Java.
- Strong skills in modern software engineering and utilizing cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure native services, Docker, Kubernetes, application logging and monitoring software.
- Strong skills in AI fundamentals, and usage of AI for coding acceleration.
- Demonstrated experience defining development best practices and deploying them throughout an engineering organization.
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) processes.
- Demonstrated experience with analyzing and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cross-functional communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
