About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a project focused on enhancing employee engagement, connection, and workplace culture across CALSTART
- Assess current employee engagement efforts
- Research best practices
- Develop recommendations for sustainable initiatives that strengthen communication and recognition
- Design employee spotlight and recognition programs
- Explore the feasibility of an internal social platform or communication hub
- Create engaging internal communications
- Recommend strategies to foster collaboration and a stronger sense of community among employees
- Develop sustainable employee engagement resources and recommendations
- Prepare an employee engagement assessment summarizing current practices, employee feedback, and improvement opportunities
- Create an employee engagement plan with communication, recognition, and employee connection recommendations
- Propose an employee spotlight and recognition program, including templates and a communication schedule
- Produce sample internal communication materials, such as newsletters, email campaigns, or intranet content
- Assess feasibility and recommend an internal employee communication or social platform based on organizational resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed at least three years of accredited college/university-level coursework in Business Management, Human Resources, or Communications
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and task management abilities
- Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced remote work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in internal and external teams
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Comfortable using technology and willing to learn new digital tools and platforms
- Creative thinker with an interest in employee engagement, workplace culture, and internal communications
- Experience with Canva or similar design and communication tools is a plus but not required
