About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leverage Calm’s consumer data to prioritize product and growth investments
- Identify opportunities to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and subscriber growth
- Automate analyses and data products for key decision-makers
- Partner with product and growth marketing to turn ambiguous business questions into clear analyses, experimentation plans, and actionable recommendations
- Analyze and communicate how trends in key metrics affect business performance
- Perform deep-dive analysis to understand user engagement behavior
- Design, implement, and analyze experiments measuring the impact of new features on core product metrics
- Bridge data and action across technical and non-technical teams
- Build internal data products using tools such as Amplitude, Tableau, and Mode
- Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across Calm
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Comfortable manipulating data with Python or R
- BA/BS in quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with designing, analyzing, and interpreting experiments
- Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into technical solutions, and translate technical solutions into business outcomes
- Strong relationship management and presentation skills
- Pragmatic and impact-oriented, with the ability to balance scrappiness and rigor
- 5 years of data science experience
- Experience with digital consumer products or subscription businesses
- Experience supporting product analytics, experimentation, user acquisition, lifecycle marketing, or retention
- Experience with causal inference, incrementality testing, attribution, or marketing measurement
- Experience with product analytics and BI tools such as Amplitude, Tableau, and Mode
- Experience building scalable analyses, reporting, or measurement frameworks that enable self-service decision-making
