About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform manual and/or automated testing of voice protocols on ONTs, OLTs, and modems
  • Develop and maintain test scripts using Python, Robot Framework, or Abacus
  • Write test cases, prepare test plans, and execute regression and release testing
  • Debug and validate issues in collaboration with development teams
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of test processes and tools
  • Validate voice protocol implementations on ONTs, OLTs, and modems
  • Testing legacy telephony, and cable modem technologies
  • Develop and maintain test scripts using test automation frameworks
  • Use tools like Ameritec Fortissimo, Abacus, Spirent Test Center, and Wireshark
  • Write test plans and execute test cases
  • Reproduce customer-reported issues in lab environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in voice protocol testing: SIP, MGCP, H.248
  • Familiarity with IPTV (IGMP), SS7, DOCSIS, and network protocols
  • Hands-on experience with Wireshark, Jira, Bamboo, Abacus, Ameritec, Spirent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Networking and Voice technology
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred
  • Leadership experience or interest in mentoring junior testers
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field
