About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming campus environment.
Perform a wide range of routine and semi-skilled maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance, and equipment repairs.
Work independently to complete maintenance work orders, support campus moves and relocations, assist with event setups and breakdowns, and perform day porter responsibilities throughout the campus.
Perform preventive maintenance checks and interior/exterior building inspections as assigned.
Identify and report maintenance deficiencies on a routine basis.
Carry or haul various loads from one location to another.
Assist with recurring tasks, including checking fire extinguishers, checking parking garage lights, etc.
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of common areas, maintenance shop, etc.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-4 years of related work experience in multifaceted maintenance position required.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, drywall, and painting preferred.
Must possess basic mechanical aptitude, and the knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to proficiently perform assigned diversified maintenance tasks.
Must have access to a reliable vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.
Computer Skills: Must possess intermediate level of computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Basic knowledge of internet-based work order ticketing system a plus.
Ability to use basic hand tools, and electrical tools.
