About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming campus environment.
- Perform a wide range of routine and semi-skilled maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance, and equipment repairs.
- Work independently to complete maintenance work orders, support campus moves and relocations, assist with event setups and breakdowns, and perform day porter responsibilities throughout the campus.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and interior/exterior building inspections as assigned.
- Identify and report maintenance deficiencies on a routine basis.
- Carry or haul various loads from one location to another.
- Assist with recurring tasks, including checking fire extinguishers, checking parking garage lights, etc.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of common areas, maintenance shop, etc.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-4 years of related work experience in multifaceted maintenance position required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, drywall, and painting preferred.
- Must possess basic mechanical aptitude, and the knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to proficiently perform assigned diversified maintenance tasks.
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.
- Computer Skills: Must possess intermediate level of computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of internet-based work order ticketing system a plus.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, and electrical tools.
