About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming campus environment.
  • Perform a wide range of routine and semi-skilled maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance, and equipment repairs.
  • Work independently to complete maintenance work orders, support campus moves and relocations, assist with event setups and breakdowns, and perform day porter responsibilities throughout the campus.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and interior/exterior building inspections as assigned.
  • Identify and report maintenance deficiencies on a routine basis.
  • Carry or haul various loads from one location to another.
  • Assist with recurring tasks, including checking fire extinguishers, checking parking garage lights, etc.
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of common areas, maintenance shop, etc.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-4 years of related work experience in multifaceted maintenance position required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, drywall, and painting preferred.
  • Must possess basic mechanical aptitude, and the knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to proficiently perform assigned diversified maintenance tasks.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Computer Skills: Must possess intermediate level of computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of internet-based work order ticketing system a plus.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, and electrical tools.
