About the role
- The R&D Test Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for testing and validating new and existing products in an in-house lab.
- The engineer uses equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DMMs, integrates test systems using LabVIEW and Python, and develops automated testing setups.
- They design and execute test plans to meet UL safety standards, collect and analyze data, and report results.
- The role also supports prototyping, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, building test fixtures, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and external test facilities to ensure products meet performance and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the engineering fields of Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical or related field, or equivalent experience (required)
- Basic understanding of core engineering principles and development tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read/understand schematics, PCBs, and mechanical drawings
- Strong algebra/math skills
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work in a collaborative environment
- Ability to multitask and remain highly organized with proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines, developing effective organizational systems as needed.
