About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Recruit, manage, and mentor a diverse team of Identity and Trust & Safety engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Provide hands-on mentorship, guidance, and decision-making to help engineering teams deliver effective, high-quality solutions
- Own and drive execution on critical initiatives, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes while promoting incremental delivery and impact
- Define and evolve our Identity and Access management capabilities to meet future demands while shaping the Trust & Safety roadmap in alignment with company priorities and emerging threats
- Design and implement scalable systems to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud and abuse, leveraging key metrics to measure effectiveness
- Partner with Product, Security, Design, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams to embed security and safety considerations throughout the development lifecycle
- Shape technical strategy and North Star Architecture while guiding the design and implementation of key services and components
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years experience as a people leader within a platform engineering organization
- Domain expertise with customer-facing Identity & Access Management (IAM) And/Or Trust & Safety
- Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of design of detection and prevention systems, and a practical understanding of how to apply machine learning and AI to Trust & Safety and/or security problems
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud computing
- Experience building, operating, and maintaining high-traffic, high-availability platforms and systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify root causes and implement effective mitigations and resolutions
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and propose new solutions or improvements that align with organizational goals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams
- Ability to adapt to new technologies, changing requirements, and evolving organizational needs
- Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
