About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and implement organizational policies and procedures regarding environmental regulations
- Assist manufacturing plants in troubleshooting environmental compliance issues
- Complete environmental reporting requirements for HWI facilities
- Prepare and submit environmental and safety reports, including Title V, air, water, waste, SPCC, and SWPP plans
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturing personnel regarding environmental issues
- Implement corporate environmental policies and procedures
- Conduct environmental audits of manufacturing facilities
- Negotiate environmental compliance issues with regulatory agencies
- Evaluate capital projects in relation to environmental issues
- Submit required environmental permit applications and compliance reports in a timely manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Four (4) to six (6) years of environmental engineering experience in manufacturing
- B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
- Computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of process systems and environmental control technology
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation regulations and practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to meet the stated physical, lifting, vision, environmental, and noise requirements
