About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and implement organizational policies and procedures regarding environmental regulations
  • Assist manufacturing plants in troubleshooting environmental compliance issues
  • Complete environmental reporting requirements for HWI facilities
  • Prepare and submit environmental and safety reports, including Title V, air, water, waste, SPCC, and SWPP plans
  • Provide technical guidance to manufacturing personnel regarding environmental issues
  • Implement corporate environmental policies and procedures
  • Conduct environmental audits of manufacturing facilities
  • Negotiate environmental compliance issues with regulatory agencies
  • Evaluate capital projects in relation to environmental issues
  • Submit required environmental permit applications and compliance reports in a timely manner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of environmental engineering experience in manufacturing
  • B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of process systems and environmental control technology
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation regulations and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to meet the stated physical, lifting, vision, environmental, and noise requirements
