Design Engineer – Iron & Steel Bricks Expert
CalderysDesign Engineer role in Hungary preparing technical drawings and engineering calculations for innovative projects. Involves collaboration, attention to detail, and managing own projects.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Preparation of technical drawings independently
- Preparation of quantity calculations independently
- Participation in the compilation of price offers
- Preparation of other documents belonging to the design documentation and/or offers (heat transfer calculations, thermal expansion calculations)
- The correct preparation of the assigned tasks by the deadline
- High level of efficiency and accuracy
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multi tasks / project and meet tight deadlines, is analytical and highly organized
- Work comfortably in highly collaborative setting, have a confident and outgoing personality
- Management of own projects
- Occasional work at execution site
- Occasional work abroad
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in refractory engineering;
- General knowledge in refractory engineering;
- Specific monolithic refractory and refractory brick engineering knowledge in vessels for molten iron and steel (Ladle, EAF, BOF, Degasser, …).
- Intermediate English language skills, confident use of the language, any extra language skills are an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Computer skills, including MS Office package (Excel & Word), OneDrive; and 2D CAD: ACAD are mandatory while 3D CAD knowledge specifically in Creo are an advantage.
