About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and data architecture to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
Drive best practices for data engineering, such as ETL/ELT processes, data quality management, and automation.
Foster data engineering culture within the organization (documentation, knowledge sharing sessions, code review)
Advocate for and lead the adoption of new technologies or methodologies to enhance efficiency and impact (Tech stack modernization)
Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments around the data engineering market (e.g.: attending conferences/seminars)
Document processes, flows, and methodologies to ensure transparency and reproducibility
Provide training and support to teams to enhance data literacy and usage across the organization.
Proactively suggest and drive enhancement and optimization initiatives on Calderys’ Data platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of functional experience in IT & Data related functions
5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives
3+ years of practical experience in projects in application interface development and data integration
Extensive experience implementing, migrating, managing data lake/data warehouse implementations (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery…)
Extensive experience in data technologies related to business intelligence, analytics, Extract/Transform/Load (Talend, Alteryx, Informatica, ODI…), API management, enterprise application integration (EAI), predictive analytics, artificial intelligence and master data management.
Experience integrating Business systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
